Frequently asked questions
What type of water filtration system do I need?
It depends on where you want the water improved. If your goals are taste, cooking water and ice, a drinking water package at the kitchen or refrigerator usually covers it. If your goals include showers, laundry, sediment and general household water, whole-home filtration is the starting point. If you want both, Whole Home+ combines them.
What's the difference between Whole Home and Whole Home+?
Whole Home ($1,999 installed) filters water as it enters the house, covering sediment, chlorine and chloramine reduction, and taste and odor throughout the home. Whole Home+ ($2,399 installed) includes all of that and adds dedicated filtration for kitchen drinking water, kitchen cooking water, refrigerator drinking water and refrigerator ice.
Can I filter only my drinking water?
Yes. The drinking water packages are built for exactly that: kitchen drinking and cooking water for $499 installed, refrigerator water and ice for $299 installed, or both together for $749 installed.
Does the Whole Home system remove fluoride?
No. Whole-house filtration does not remove fluoride and does not reduce total dissolved solids (TDS). Whole Home+ adds dedicated drinking-water filtration at the kitchen and refrigerator, and that dedicated filtration does provide fluoride filtration for the water served at those points — kitchen drinking and cooking water, refrigerator water and ice. It does not apply to showers, bathrooms or laundry.
Is installation included in the price?
Yes. Published city-water package prices include standard installation. Some homes may require additional plumbing components, fittings, materials, or labor because of the home's existing configuration or installation conditions. If anything beyond a standard installation is needed, we'll discuss the additional cost with you before the work begins.
What do I pay if my home is on a private well?
Private-well homes add our standard $500 Well Water Upgrade to the whole-home package they choose, so Whole Home is $2,499 installed and Whole Home+ is $2,899 installed. The upgrade adds sediment pre-filtration and whole-home UV protection to the multi-stage whole-home filtration already in your package, with standard installation included.
Do I need to buy UV separately on well water?
No. Whole-home UV protection is already included in the Well Water Upgrade, so it is part of the private-well price. Whole-home UV treatment provides an additional layer of protection against susceptible microorganisms.
Could a private well cost more than the published price?
Pricing assumes typical residential water conditions and a standard installation. Some private wells may have unusual water conditions that require additional or specialized treatment, and some homes may require additional plumbing components, fittings, materials, or labor because of the home's existing configuration. If anything outside the standard package is recommended or required, we explain the reason and provide the additional cost for approval before work begins.
What optional upgrades can I add?
Three, all at fixed installed prices: whole-home UV protection for $500 (already included for private-well homes), smart whole-home leak protection with monitoring and automatic shutoff for $599, and a dedicated filtered-water faucet at the kitchen sink for $99. You can add them on the Request Installation form and see your estimated total update as you go.
Can I request installation online?
Yes. If you already know which package you want, select it and submit the installation request form. No payment is collected online and there is no consultation step you have to complete first.
Is submitting an installation request the same as booking an appointment?
No. Submitting the form sends us your selected package and installation details. It does not confirm an appointment. We contact you to confirm the details and scheduling.
How often do filters need replacing?
Filter media is consumable in every filtration system, and the replacement interval depends on the specific system installed and how much water your household uses. We confirm the interval for your exact configuration rather than publishing a general figure that may not match your equipment.
Can you filter refrigerator water and ice?
Yes. A dedicated refrigerator line is included in the Refrigerator + Ice package ($299 installed), the Kitchen + Refrigerator package ($749 installed), and Whole Home+.
Can I start with drinking-water filtration and upgrade later?
Yes. Plenty of households start where they notice water most, which is usually the kitchen, and add whole-home filtration later. Tell us if that is your plan and we will keep it in mind when we discuss the installation.
Does filtration reduce bottled-water use?
For many households, yes, simply because filtered water becomes the convenient option. When the tap or the refrigerator delivers water you like, filling a reusable bottle is easier than buying, carrying and storing cases.
What is TDS?
TDS is total dissolved solids: a single measurement of everything dissolved in water, including ordinary minerals. It tells you how much is dissolved, not what it is. Reducing TDS requires a different technology than sediment or carbon filtration, which is why whole-house filtration does not reduce it.
Do you serve my neighborhood?
We install throughout Tallahassee and Leon County, including Killearn, Killearn Lakes, Killearn Estates, Northeast Tallahassee, Bradfordville, Ox Bottom, Centerville, Betton Hills, Midtown, Southwood and Lake Jackson. If you are nearby and unsure, ask.
How do I know which system is right for me?
Use the Help Me Choose form. Tell us what you'd like to improve, who uses the water in your home and what matters most to you, and we will contact you to help narrow down the options. There is no obligation and no payment involved.

Ready for better water?
Some homeowners already know the system they want. Others want a little guidance first. Both are easy.
